New Process Design


This client had added new responsibilities to an existing business unit/department. The staff had no experience in their new areas and no existing processes existed to execute their new responsibilities.


The initial work included helping the client define the new process objectives and goals. Following approval of this, we helped with the development of the new processes. These were reviewed and tested in a variety of ways, including “table top” role-playing. Refinements were made and the processes were ultimately finalized.

Key Outcomes/Results

The new processes were documented using UML standard swim lanes, along with supporting descriptions and training materials. They were then implemented, allowing the client and their staff to successfully adapt to their new responsibilities.
